Standards for standards and service

The second edition of SANS 1-1, the standard for standards, was approved by SAC in November 2009 and is published in 2010.
SANA 1-1 brings SA Technical Specifications (SATS) in line with the ISO Technical Specifications, and SA Technical Reports (SATR) in line with the ISO Technical Reports.
The title of SANS 1-1 Part 1 is ‘Development of South African national standards and other normative documents’. It describes the principles and processes in the preparation of standards and normative documents.
SANS 1-1 offers guidance to members of SABS technical committees and SABS employees involved in drafting standards. The publication also provides background information to the public and organisations involved in developing standards, or interested in developing standards in any industrial sector.

Service quality SANS 10002
Service quality management guidelines are standardised in SANS 10002 on Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction.
