May 16 -19 Confex in Accra, Ghana, health and enviro business conference for private and state initiatives, backed by accelerated enviro protection framework. About 2 000 participants, 2 000 students, 100 exhibitors, dignitaries, ministers, ambassadors, chief executives, UN officials and 2 000 visitors and targeted groups are expected at the four-day event. Ghana’s minster of Environment, Science and Technology, Ms Sherry Ayittey, aims to mange the consequence of global climate change and prevent environmental degradation. An integrated strategic vision is promoted in public-private partnership initiatives aimed at global Millennium Development Goals 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 for reducing child mortality rate, improving maternal health, combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensuring environmental sustainability, and developing a global partnership for development. The theme is ‘A healthy environmental governance framework as quest for enhanced private sector productivity, job creation, industrial safety and national wellness’. Chairman Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah, facilitated by the ministries of Health, MEST, and Employment and Social Welfare.
