Haz storage and tanks standards

Draft standards on haz chem storage tanks, and on dangerous good warehousing, are out for comment before 11 October 2010.

SANS 310; Storage tank facilities for hazardous chemicals: Above-ground storage tank facilities for flammable, combustible and non-flammable chemicals

SANS 10263-8; Warehousing of dangerous goods, Part 8: Storage and handling of corrosive substances.

The Draft South African standards are published for a public comment period of 60 days, from 2010 August 10, to 2010 October 11.

Visit the SABS website. Comments are invited to SANS, or via the Chemicals and Allied Industries Association, CAIA.
