Draft Policy on Conservation Agriculture

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) published an Invitation for public comments on the draft conservation agriculture polcy and notice of consultation workshops, Government Notice No. 84

It is envisaged that Conservation Agriculture  will transform South African land use systems towards a sustainable food production system, adopted by the majority of farmers, which will increase the food security status of South Africa and its citizens, whilst reducing vulnerability to food scarcity and the related risk to national security.
