RSS launches new service to employers

Cape Town – in partnership with SHEConcepts, launched a brand new website in October 2018 called Safety Officer OnCall360. The new website showcase SHE Practitioners and Consultants in South Africa available for contracts and assignments and is the first of a number of OnCall360 business directories planned for the next 3 years.

Benefit for employers

Employers often face challenges when seeking a practitioner or consultant and the biggest one is sifting through the literally 1000’s of applications. Even recruitment agencies have a adopted a “shortlist response only” and do not even acknowledge an application at first stage.

With Safety Officer OnCall360, this is made easier in that the “CV” of an individual is presented visually in “business card” format, giving a summary of work experience, the highest qualification as well as the suggested remuneration of a candidate. Additional information is available such as a direct contact number and email address for employers to get in touch with their chosen candidate.

Safety Officer OnCall360 does not act as recruitment agency or employment service, but as a professional directory and all listings are paid for by the practitioner or consultant in question, making this a totally free service to employers.

Benefit to practitioners and consultants

SHE professionals can list their availability for contracts and assignments for a period of 6 months at a time from as little as R450 for 6 months. Registered consulting practices have the added benefit of adding their company logos and business contact information too.

The greatest benefit is the visual presentation of experience, qualification and expected rate or salary and adding a professional photograph instead of a selfie can further enhance the candidate’s profile as a professional.

Getting listed and using the service

Practitioners and consultants who want to get listed can contact a dedicated team of Area Managers. As partners in the website, the area managers are committed to making sure the best service is delivered to practitioners and consultants at all times, guaranteeing a listing to be online within 48 hours after payment.

Employers can simply go to the website and browse the directory or perform specific search based on the requirements of the contract or assignment. The directory caters for all levels of Safety Officer from Junior level to professionally registered Safety engineers and CHSA’s.

The list of available qualifications in the Safety Industry ranges from NQF level 4 to 10 and includes the “SAMTRAC” type short courses up to doctorate level degrees.

Enhancements and Options

Safety Officer OnCall360 also offers a few enhancements to the standard listings of practitioners. One of these enhancements is a verified professional profile to assure employers get the real deal. A third party is to be appointed to perform verification services for candidates who select this option. In essence, a Verified Profile is risk free in that the qualification, credit and criminal record of the practitioner is all good standing.

The website also offers candidates the option to use its own email service in order to protect personal email addresses from SPAM. Any email sent to will be forwarded automatically to the person concerned.

Practitioners who are currently employed but looking for greener pastures without their employers knowing, can also select to have their profiles hidden from public view. This would however require employers to register and log-in to the website in order to view it; a feature that is available only to paying subscribers.
